Even Sweeter April

The highlight of April was a visit from K-Rae, Paisley, and Elyse and her babies.  The weather continued to be beautiful and we enjoyed walks, visits to the park, a trip The Science Center, a few girls nights and lots of yummy food.  My cousin Elyse wrote a great post about the visit and if you have the magic word you can see it here.  We are so grateful that they made the long drive to come visit!  We loved every second.

March A and Z

We enjoyed a lovely spring break in the middle of march, but before we post about that - let's cover the beginning and the end.  Fisher and T-man co-coached Curly and Lettie's city rec basketball team.  This was a first for all of them and I think they all really enjoyed it.  Curly improved a lot and now loves to go out and shoot baskets whenever she has a spare moment.  The good experience they had was inspiration to get Fisher a basketball standard for his birthday and it has proved to be a fun gift for the whole family.  Fisher and I celebrated his birthday with a dinner date and then a family dinner on Sunday.

Happy Birthday Fisher!

The little man is growing so fast!
Always ready to chow!
Spud is becoming more mobile every day.  He crawls very quickly and is even quicker to get into things!  But, he still prefers for mom to carry him around and loves to be held (especially when it is time to make dinner).

We ended the month celebrating Easter.  I enjoyed singing in an Easter Fireside the Sunday prior to Easter.  We had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday night with the kids in our babysitting rotation.  We decided to have the hunt in the dark with flashlights and it was a hit!

Spring Break

We had a great spring break "stay-cation."  Grandpa Duck and Grandma C came to visit and play for the whole week and we packed in as much fun as possible.  The weather was beautiful with pleasant warm days and just slightly cool evenings, perfect for sitting around a candle lit table in the backyard while the kids played on the lawn.   Shar and I enjoyed the opportunity to make good food for people (adults) who would enjoy it, so we ate really well.  There was lots of good conversation, tickles, laughter, treats and some help with home improvement projects too.  Spending the week with our family was wonderful. It was an idyllic and lovely week!  Here are just a few of the highlights -
Day 1 - Children's Museum of Phoenix
Grandpa enjoyed it as much as the kids :)

The finale of the week was a weekend trip to Tucson.  Not exactly a destination, but we had never been there and since we live in AZ, we thought we should check it out.  We had a great time.  We hiked and swam in Sabino Canyon (the "oasis" of Tucson), ate great mexican food, visited a very fun and magical miniatures museum, and learned a lot at the Sonoran Desert Museum.
