Curly the Star!

Curly had her first Ballet recital this week. She has been taking lessons from a 14 year old ballerina in our ward. They held the recital at a Long Term Care facility so that the residents could enjoy it. I thought that was very cool. I love watching little girls dance - not coordinated enough yet to really demonstrate the moves accurately, but trying so hard. And pink tutus are so cute.

Curly is second from the right.

Curly also graduated from preschool this week. Her teacher held a fun ceremony with a barbecue and swimming party afterward. We were lucky to find a great preschool teacher when we moved here after the school year started. Miss Ronda gave each child an award with her diploma. Curly was awarded "Most Artistic." We will miss her preschool friends and Miss Ronda.

Oh my goodness! Growing up so fast!! Nice hair bun for the ballet performance. It looks very professional and ballerina-ish, but of course I'm not surprised. You always made my hair look fabulous!

I love that idea of giving each child an award. I want to do that next year for my students. I can't believe your little girl will be in Kindergarten and that she's a star ballerina. :)

I don't want LE to grow up too fast. Just thinking about preschool makes me a little sad. Why can't they just stay the same size for a little while? Hey Lou, way to sport the shiner.

Look at that pretty bun in Curly's hair. Good job Lainey. Curly looks so happy. You are such a good mommy. Peep just graduated from preschool too and I think she might even be excited for kindergarten. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'll miss her, but I'm excited she'll be learning new things and making new friends.
