Paris

Notre Dame
We took a two hour ride on the Eurostar from London to Paris.  During our two and a half day visit, we packed in a lot - walking tours (Thank you Rick Steves), museums, palaces, churches, parks, and the Eiffel Tower.
Padlocks covering the bridge
This bridge across the Seine was covered in padlocks with couples names on them.  I don't remember this "tradition" when I was in Paris 12 years ago.  I guess it is the "city of Love."
San Chapelle
The stain-glass of San Chapelle is amazing.  Of the many churches and cathedrals we visited, it was probably our favorite.

Our tiny flat - what you see is what there was
We rented this tiny flat from the owner through "airbnb."  Great location - but tiny!  That is the bed on top of the kitchen and bathroom.
Versaille - Hall of Mirrors
We took a day trip to Versaille.  The opulence of Versaille makes you feel a little sick and you wonder what your life might have been like if you were around in the 1600s - especially if you were not royalty.
Versaille Gardens

Versaille - Domaine of Marie Antoinette
We hike to the top of Arc d' triomphe and enjoyed the view before strolling down the Champs' Elysees
A long walk up!

On the Arc d' Triomphe

We finished our stroll at the Tuileries Gardens and enjoyed the sunset.

Our final day in Paris - hit Le Louvre and did a bit of shopping before catching a cheap (but very delayed) flight to Italy.

When you said it was small I didn't think that small.

We didn't make it to Versailles, but I kind of wished we would have. Paris was the end of our trip and we were feeling quite poor by then. :) I love the little flat, it is so cute and compact.
